abstract |
A method for easily and accurately measuring cholesterol (LDL-C) in a low density lipoprotein in a sample without using a surfactant having an alkylphenol structure for the sake of the environment. The invention relates to a method for measuring LDL-C in a sample characterized by the reaction of a sample and (i) a combination of cholesterol ester hydrolase and cholesterol oxidase or (ii) a combination of cholesterol ester hydrolase, oxidized coenzyme, and cholesterol dehydrogenase in an aqueous surfactant-free medium having an alkylphenol structure containing [a] one or more surfactants selected from the group consisting of alkyl ethers polyoxyethylene ethers and polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene alkyl ethers and [b] a polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene condensate, and measuring a substance produced or a substance consumed by the reaction. |
