abstract |
The present invention relates to the first example of the palladium (II) catalyzed β-C (sp3) -H arylation of a wide range of ketones using a commercially available aminooxyacetic acid auxiliary. This L, X-type steering group overcomes the limitation of the transient steering group approach for the -βC (sp3) -H functionalization of ketones. The method according to the invention has practical advantages of simple installation of the auxiliary without chromatography, exceptional tolerance of functional groups, double bonds, triple bonds and rapid access to various sterically hindered quaternary centers. |
