abstract |
Provided are a urine test device and a urine test method with which it is possible to stabilize vitamins in urine over several days, as well as improve test accuracy and the convenience of the urine test for a subject. In this urine test device, a citric acid aqueous solution and the like are applied, as a urine stabilizer, to the inner wall of a urine sample storage container. Alternatively, a dried or freeze-dried citric acid aqueous solution and the like serving as a urine stabilizer are accommodated inside a urine sample storage container. In this urine test method, a citric acid aqueous solution and the like serving as a urine stabilizer are added to collected urine so as to stabilize the vitamin concentration therein for at least seven days after urine collection. Stabilizing the vitamins in urine for several days improves the convenience of the urine test for the subject. In particular, stabilizing the concentration of B vitamins in the urine enables accurate testing for nutrients lacking in the subject's body. |
