The purpose of the present invention is to provide a polyol composition in which a core-shell type polymer is dispersed at a high content in a high molecular weight polyol and which displays excellent mechanical characteristics (toughness and tensile strength) in a thermosetting resin (a polyurethane resin or epoxy resin). This polyol composition contains (A-I) a first polyol having a number average molecular weight of 1000-10,000 and (B) a core-shell type polymer having a volume average particle diameter of 0.01-0.6 μm, and is characterized in that the content of component (B) in the polyol composition is 35-60 wt.%, component (B) is homogeneously dispersed in the first polyol (A-I), the solubility parameter of a polymer that constitutes the shell layer of component (B) is 9.30-10.20 (cal/cm 3 ) 1/2 , and the polymer that constitutes the shell layer contains 25-90 wt.% of constituent units derived from an alkyl (meth)acrylate having a straight chain or branched chain alkyl group having 4-10 carbon atoms. |
