Provided is an alkali secondary cell having excellent charge/discharge cycle characteristics. This alkali secondary cell is characterized in having a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; the positive electrode containing a silver oxide; the negative electrode containing zinc-based particles selected from zinc particles and zinc alloy particles; the separator holding an alkali electrolytic solution; and an anion-conductive membrane, in which a polymer serves as a matrix and particles of at least one metal compound selected from the group consisting of metal oxides, hydroxides, carbonates, sulfates, phosphates, borates, and silicates are dispersed in the matrix, being positioned between the negative electrode and the separator. |
