In a zinc secondary battery, there is provided a negative electrode capable of suppressing deterioration of the negative electrode due to repeated charging and discharging to improve durability, thereby extending the cycle life. This negative electrode is used for a zinc secondary battery, and includes (A) ZnO particles and (B) the following groups: (i) metal Zn particles having an average particle size D50 of 5 to 80 μm, (ii). It contains one or more metal elements selected from In and Bi, and at least two selected from a binder resin having a (iii) hydroxyl group. |
