titleOfInvention | Diseased humanized model animal and teratoma tissue |
abstract | Provided is a diseased humanized model animal that makes it possible to perform in vivo examination of human tissue and human cells that are in a diseased state. Human pluripotent stem cells are transplanted into the tissue of an immunodeficient animal, a teratoma is formed, and a disease is induced by intraperitoneally administering a disease-inducing substance. The disease-inducing substance is streptozotocin or alloxan. The accumulation of neutral fat was observed in the heart muscle and vascular smooth muscle within a teratoma that grew from a mouse that was subjected to a transplant of iPS cells derived from a healthy human and that developed diabetes after streptozotocin was administered thereto two months later. |
