abstract |
Provided are a filler capable of suppressing the thermal expansion of a glass composition by the addition of a small amount thereof, and exhibiting excellent fluidity when melting the glass composition, and a glass composition containing the filler. Further provided is a production method capable of producing a hexagonal phosphate compound favorable for use as the filler, by using a simple and industrially advantageous method. This filler comprises a hexagonal phosphate compound represented by formula (1) and having a purity of 90% or higher, and is characterized in that the ionic compound content thereof is 1.0 wt% or lower. K a Zr b (PO 4 ) 3 (1) In formula (1), a represents an integer of 0.8-1.2, and b is an integer which satisfies a+4b=9. |
