Liquid crystal composition and liquid crystal display element using same |
abstract |
The present invention pertains to a liquid crystal composition used in a liquid crystal display element.nThe present invention addresses the problem of providing a liquid crystal composition that is characterized in: that various properties of a liquid crystal display element such as a dielectric anisotropy, a bulk viscosity, a nematic-phase upper limit temperature, a rotation viscosity γ 1 , and a voltage holding ratio, as well as the burn-in property of a display element are not impaired; that it is less likely that dropping marks occur at the time of manufacture; that a stable eject amount of a liquid crystal material in an ODF step is achieved; and the suitability to a liquid crystal display element having an excellent solubility at a low temperature. Besides, the present invention addresses the problem of providing a liquid crystal display element in which the liquid crystal composition is used.nThe present invention pertains to a liquid crystal composition that contains a compound expressed by an expression (I), one or more kinds of compounds expressed by a general expression (II-1), and one or more kinds of compounds expressed by a general expression (II-2), and that has a negative dielectric anisotropy. The present invention also pertains to a liquid crystal display element in which the liquid crystal composition is used. |
