abstract A method is described for producing biopolymer nanoparticles containing oil and extracts of Azadirachta indica A. Juss (Neem), the method comprising, in phase I, the preparation (10) of an aqueous emulsion of Neem oil and extracts, in phase II, the preparation (20) of a solution of biopolymer in an organic solvent, phases I and II being then mixed, and in phase III, the preparation (30) of an aqueous surfactant emulsion and the admixture of phase III to the mixture of phases I and II, producing a nanoparticle suspension that is stabilised. Also described are the resulting powdered biopolymer nanoparticles and microparticles.
