abstract The present invention relates to a composition comprising a protein kinase C activator for promoting stem cell adhesion and to a method for promoting a stem cell adhesion. The protein kinase C activator according to the present invention promotes the phosphorylation of focal adhesion kinase (FAK) which is a signal transduction molecule associated with cell adhesion capacity in stem cells, and increases the expression of paxillin, talin, vinculin and Rac1 which is a GTPase, and thus enables stem cells to effectively adhere to a damaged area of the myocardium.
