A method for preparing an electrode material for use in an electrochemical device can include providing fluorinated carbon particles; mixing the fluorinated carbon particles with an aqueous liquid to form a slurry; drying the mixture; compressing the mixture through a screen to create granules; optionally adding between 0.1% to 10% surfactant; and applying the granulized mixture to an electrically conductive collector. |
