Organic electroluminescent element |
abstract |
Disclosed is an organic electroluminescent (EL) element (100) comprising at least four organic functional layers (20) between a positive electrode (2) and a negative electrode (9). In the organic EL element (100), the organic functional layers (20) are formed by film application, two of the four organic functional layers (20) are a hole transport layer (4) and a luminescent layer (6), a mixed region (5) that is present between the hole transport layer (4) and the luminescent layer (6) is 5-15 nm thick and includes both the material that constitutes the hole transport layer (4) and the material that constitutes the luminescent layer (6), the luminescent layer (6) includes at least one type of phosphorescent dopant, and from among the phosphorescent dopants included in the luminescent layer (6) the peak luminescence intensity of the dopant having the shortest emission wavelength is in a range of 500 nm or less. |
