titleOfInvention Organic electroluminescent element
abstract Provided is an organic electroluminescent element which has excellent long-term durability and service life characteristics. This organic electroluminescent element is provided with, between a positive electrode (1) and a negative electrode (2), a plurality of light-emitting layers (4) that are laminated with an intermediate layer (3) interposed therebetween. The intermediate layer (3) is composed of a mixed layer (3a) that contains an electron-donating substance and an electron-transporting organic material, a first layer (3b) that is composed of an electron-transporting organic material, and a hole injection layer (3c), said layers being sequentially formed in this order from the positive electrode (1) to the negative electrode (2). The first layer (3b) has a thickness within the range of 0.2-20 nm. The hole injection layer (3c) is formed of a simple substance of an electron-accepting organic substance.
