titleOfInvention | ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT ELEMENT AND LIGHTING DEVICE |
abstract | Provided is an organic electroluminescence device that is less likely to cause an increase in driving voltage and a short circuit not only in a room temperature environment but also in a high temperature environment and has excellent long-term durability and life characteristics. The organic electroluminescence device includes a plurality of light emitting layers 4 and 5 stacked between an anode 1 and a cathode 2 via an intermediate layer 3. The intermediate layer 3 includes a first layer 3a containing a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound, an alkali metal layer 3b made of an alkali metal, a second layer 3c containing a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound, and an electron-accepting organic material. A hole injection layer 3d is formed from the anode 1 to the cathode 2 in this order. The thickness of the second layer 3c is thicker than the thickness of the alkali metal layer 3b. |
