abstract | The invention relates to a method for preparing derivatives of nitric-oxide-donor glycosaminoglycans, the resulting nitroderivatives and the use thereof in the treatment of chronic ulcers, such as diabetic foot ulcers, ulcers caused by burns and pressure ulcers. More specifically, the invention relates to methods for preparing nitroderivatives of unfractionated heparin (UFH), derivatives of low molecular weight heparins (LMWH) and derivatives of very low molecular weight heparins (VLMWH), all of which have a nitric oxide donor ability, and to the use thereof in the production of a drug for the treatment of chronic ulcers and, in particular, diabetic foot ulcers, ulcers caused by burns and/or pressure ulcers. |
