The disclosed polymerizable liquid crystal compound is represented by General Formula (I). A 1 -A 3 represent 1,4-phenylene groups, naphthalene-2,6-diyl groups, or alicyclic groups represented by General Formula (II) and at least one of A 1 -A 3 is said alicyclic group. S 1 and S 2 represent C1 to C8 alkylene groups. Z 1 -Z 4 represent direct bonds, -O-CO-, -CO-O-, etc. n is 1 or 2. G 1 and G 2 represent substituting groups of any of Formulas (1)-(4). R 1 -R 8 represent hydrogen atoms, C1 to C6 alkyl groups, C2 to C6 alkenyl groups, halogen atoms or cyano groups and at least one of R 1 -R 8 represents a non-hydrogen atom substituting group. R 9 represents a hydrogen atom or methyl group. R 10 -R 12 represent hydrogen atoms or C1 to C6 alkyl groups. |
