A base makeup cosmetic satisfying specific relational requirements represented by the following formulae (1) and (2) and showing a hue angle of the cosmetic of 40-80°:nformula (1): (C*0)-(C*45)≤2.0; andnformula (2): |(∠h*0)-(∠h*45)|≤1.5;nwherein, (C*45) and (∠h*45) respectively represent, when incident light falls on from a direction at -45° relative to a light-receiving surface, said light-receiving surface being the surface of a coating layer obtained by applying the aforesaid base makeup cosmetic, the chroma (C*45) and hue angle (∠h*45) of reflected light in the specular reflection direction (the direction at 45°); and (C*0) and (∠h*0) respectively represent, when incident light falls on from a direction at -45° relative to the light-receiving surface, the chroma (C*0) and hue angle (∠h*0) of reflected light in the diffuse reflection direction (the direction at 0°). |
