abstract |
Disclosed is a compound which is capable of exhibiting high reduction resistance and sufficiently performing a function as a conductive assistant when added to a positive electrode active material as a conductive assistant. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing a cobalt cerium compound, which comprises a step wherein a hydroxide containing cobalt and cerium is deposited in an aqueous solution containing cobalt ions and cerium ions by changing the pH of the aqueous solution, and then the hydroxide is subjected to oxidation. In this production method, the ratio of cerium ions contained in the aqueous solution containing cobalt ions and cerium ions is set larger than 5% by atom but 70% by atom or less with respect to the total of the cobalt ions and the cerium ions before the hydroxide is deposited. |
