PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paste-type electrode in which irreversible loss of capacity occurring during storage is significantly reduced as compared with conventionally known electrodes. A paste-type nickel for a storage battery with an alkaline electrolyte, comprising a current collector and a paste containing a nickel-based hydroxide and an oxide compound of cobalt crystallized with at least one other element and syn-crystallized. An electrode, wherein the hydroxide forms a first powder, the oxidized compound forms a second powder different from the first powder, and both powders are mechanically mixed in the paste; A paste-type nickel electrode. |
