titleOfInvention Purified green tea extract
abstract Disclosed is a purified green tea extract which contains a catechin at a high concentration and is reduced in an unpleasant astringent taste. The purified green tea extract is characterized by comprising (A) a non-polymeric catechin and (B) rutin, wherein the mass ratio of the content of the rutin (B) to the content of the non-polymeric catechin (A) [i.e., a (B)/(A) ratio] is 0.03 or less and a gallate form of the non-polymeric catechin (A) makes up 0.01 to 70 mass% of the total mass of the non-polymeric catechin (A).
