abstract |
Disclosed is a resin composition which enables a cured body thereof subjected to a roughening process to have a reduced surface roughness, and is thus capable of increasing the adhesion strength between the cured body and a metal layer. Also disclosed is a cured body using the resin composition. The resin composition contains an epoxy resin (A), a curing agent (B) and a silica component (C) which is obtained by surface-treating silica particles with a silane coupling agent. The silica component (C) contains a silica component (C1) having a particle diameter of 0.2-1.0 µm. The content of the silica component (C1) in 100% by volume of the silica component (C) is within the range of 30-100% by volume. The content of the silica component (C) in 100% by volume of the resin composition is within the range of 11-68% by volume. A cured body (1) is obtained by roughening a reaction product produced by reacting the resin composition. The surface of the cured body (1) having been subjected to a roughening process has an arithmetic average roughness (Ra) of not more than 0.3 µm and a 10-point average roughness (Rz) of not more than 3.0 µm. |
