Provided is a method in which powdery particles generating in not a small amount in packing solid particulate substances such as a catalyst into a fixed-bed multitubular reactor are effectively removed from the reaction tubes in a simple manner to enable the fixed-bed multitubular reactor to be stably operated for long.nThe method, which is for packing solid particulate substances into the reaction tubes of a fixed-bed multitubular reactor, is characterized by packing two or more solid particulate substances into each of the reaction tubes so that respective layers are stacked in the tube-axis direction and introducing a gaseous fluid into the reaction tube at least once during the period when each solid particulate substance is packed in layer arrangement. |
