Disclosed are a method for efficiently producing an acrylic film having excellent flexibility and surface properties, and an acrylic film produced by the method. The method for producing an acrylic film is characterized in that a resin composition containing an acrylic resin (A) and a cellulose ester resin (B) at a mass ratio of from 95:5 to 30:70 is stretched under the conditions defined below. The acrylic resin (A) has a weight average molecular weight Mw of not less than 80,000 but not more than 1,000,000; and the cellulose ester resin (B) has a total substitution degree (T) of acyl groups of not less than 2.0 but not more than 3.0, a substitution degree of acyl groups having 3-7 carbon atoms of not less than 1.2 but not more than 3.0, and a weight average molecular weight Mw of not less than 75,000 but not more than 300,000. 1. 10°C = stretching temperature - tension softening point of resin composition = 100°C 2. 20% = stretching ratio of at least one of MD direction or TD direction = 100% 3. 40% = stretching ratio of MD direction + stretching ratio of TD direction = 200% |
