abstract A cutting tool (1) for cutting such a material as hard particles are diffused into a nonferrous metal material has a cutting face (12), a flank (13), and a cutting edge (14) provided at the intersection thereof, wherein the point including the cutting edge (14) is constituted of a diamond chip (2), the flank (13) is formed by joining a first flank (131) and a second flank (132) with a flexural borderline (133) as a boundary, the first flank (131) touches the cutting edge (14), the second flank (132) is arranged on the side receding from the cutting edge (14), a first flank angle ß1, i.e. an angle that the first flank (131) makes for thecutting face (12) of the cutting tool (1), is larger than a second flank angle ß2, i.e. an angle that the second flank (132) makes for the cutting face (12), and the flexural borderline (133) is provided in the diamond chip (2).
