abstract |
Disclosed is a substance FKI-3864 which is represented by formula [I] and has an inhibitory activity on the production of triacylglycerol. Also disclosed is a method for producing the substance FKI-3864. The method for producing the substance FKI-3864 comprises the steps of: culturing a microorganism belonging to the genus Penicillium and capable of producing the substance FKI-3864, particularly Penicillium pinophilum FKI-3864 (FERM P-21483) to accumulate the substance FKI-3864 in a culture; and collecting the substance FKI-3864 from the culture. The substance has an inhibitory activity on the production of triacylglycerol in a cell, and is useful for the prevention or treatment of obesity. |
