titleOfInvention Fluorescent endoscope system
abstract It is possible to correctly and clearly distinguish an abnormal tissue such as cancer cells by a clear fluorescent image formed by a fluorescent light emitted from a fluorescent probe while suppressing the affect of autofluorescence. A fluorescent endoscope system (1) observes a fluorescent light from a fluorescent dye attached to or absorbed by a living tissue. The fluorescent endoscope system (1) includes; a excitation light source (4) which emits an excitation light for exciting the fluorescent dye; an imaging unit (3) which images the fluorescent light emitted from the living tissue when the excitation light from the excitation light source (4) is applied; an autofluorescence signal setting unit (5) which sets a signal intensity of the autofluorescence emitted from the living tissue when the excitation light is applied; and an image compensation unit (6) which compensates the fluorescent image information acquired from the imaging unit (3) according to the signal intensity of the autofluorescence set by the autofluorescence signal setting unit (5).
