abstract |
Disclosed is a catalyst for partial oxidation of an olefin which is obtained by loading an α-alumina carrier, which contains silicon or a silicon compound, with silver or a silver oxide and an alkali metal or an alkali metal compound. In this catalyst, the position where silicon or the silicon compound is present is substantially the same as the position where fine particles of the alkali metal or the alkali metal compound are present. Also disclosed are a method for producing such a catalyst for partial oxidation of an olefin, and a method for producing an alkylene oxide wherein an olefin is oxidized in a vapor phase by using a molecular oxygen-containing gas in the presence of such a catalyst. |
