titleOfInvention Surgical implant with pins and endocortical support
abstract The invention relates to a surgical implant which is used to fix a ligament transplant (18) that is intended to replace a ligament connecting two bones on either side of a joint. The ligament transplant is fixed in a tunnel which is formed by a first segment (10) which is pierced from the outer cortical wall of the first bone (12) and which extends into a second segment (16) through a pre-determined depth of the second bone (14). The implant includes two transverse pins (50, 52) which are fixed to the transplant such as to penetrate same after it has been introduced into the second tunnel segment, whereby said two pins are not parallel to one another and are disposed in two different planes. The lower pin rests on the inner surface (46) of the cortical part of the second bone.
