A method for fixing a bone block in a bone tunnelncomprising the steps of placing the bone block in thenbone tunnel, advancing spaced-apart first and secondnmetal wires through the bone, transversely of the bonentunnel, so as to intersect the bone block and extendnthrough the bone block, removing one of the wires andnreplacing the one removed wire with a first absorbablenrod, and removing the other of the wires and replacingnthe other removed wire with a second absorbable rod,nwhereby to retain the bone block in the bone tunnelnwith the absorbable rods. |
