This invention provides an X-ray contrast filament comprising a thermoplastic resin fiber containing an X-ray impermeable agent, wherein the dry heat shrinkage at 130ÂșC is 3.5 to 0%. There is also provided an X-ray contrast covered filament comprising the above X-ray contrast filament of which the periphery has been covered with a covering fiber. The X-ray contrast filament comprises an X-ray impermeable agent-containing thermoplastic resin fiber to which an oil solution having an ionic surfactant component content of 0 to 10% by mass has been applied. In the X-ray contrast covered filament, the covering fiber is formed of a thermoplastic resin having a melting point below the thermoplastic resin constituting the X-ray contrast filament. Further, there is provided a fiber structure comprising the X-ray contrast filament and/or X-ray contrast covered filament. |
