A polylactic acid resin composition comprising polylactic acid and a dibasic acid bis(benzohydrazide) compound represented by the general formula (|); and a process for the production of heat-resistant polylactic acid resin moldings which comprises melting the polylactic acid resin composition, charging the melt into the mold of a molding machine set at a temperature falling within the range of the glass transition temperature to the crystallization-initiating temperature as determined by a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), and molding the resulting composition while crystallizing it: (|) wherein R is alkylene of 1 to 12 carbon atoms, alkenylene, cycloalkylene, alkylene having an ether linkage, or alkylene interrupted by cycloalkylene; and R1, R2, R3, and R4 are each hydrogen, halogeno, alkyl of 1 to 12 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl, aryl, arylalkyl, or alkylaryl, or R1 and R2 and/or R3 and R4 are united to form a 5- to 8-membered ring. |
