abstract An emulsion composition for silicone rubber sponges which comprises (A) a combination of either (a) a liquid diorganopolysiloxane having at least two alkenyl groups per molecule or a pasty mixture of (a) a liquid diorganopolysiloxane having at least two alkenyl groups per molecule and (d) a reinforcing filler with (b) an organopolysiloxane having at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms per molecule and (c) a platinum catalyst, (B) an aqueous solution of a water-soluble polymer, and (C) an emulsifying agent; and a process for producing a silicone rubber sponge, which comprises curing the composition to form a molding and heating the molding to convert it into the silicone rubber sponge.
