Certain cells, including cancer cells such as cells from colon, breast, lung, pancreas and ovarian tumors express STEAP2. Targeting using STEAP2 polypeptides, nucleic acids encoding for STEAP2 polypeptides, and anti-STEAP2 antibodies, peptides and small molecules provides a method of killing or inhibiting the growth of cancer cells that express the STEAP2 protein. Methods for the diagnosis and therapy of colon, breast, lung, pancreas and ovarian tumors that express STEAP2 are described. |
