abstract A honeycomb structure, wherein a plurality of cells (5) forming fluid flow passages demarcated by porous partition walls (6) are arranged parallel with each other in the center axis direction. A plurality of honeycomb segments (2) are formed integrally with each other through joining materials (9) containing, as main components, ceramics and granular fillers. Since the occurrence of defects such as the peeling and cracking of the joint parts can be securely suppressed, the durability of the honeycomb structure can be increased.
