Method of stabilizing sample |
abstract |
It is intended to provide a method of stabilizing a hemolyzed sample by which the sample can be left at room temperature without affecting the accuracy in a following assay and a liquid hemolysis reagent to be used therefor. Using a liquid hemolysis reagent containing a surfactant and carbon dioxide dissolved therein, blood cells are lysed to give a hemolyzed sample. The thus prepared hemolyzed sample is usable in assaying, for example, a glycoprotein at accuracy comparable to the level immediately after the preparation even after storing, for example, at room temperature. At 2 to 35°C, carbon dioxide is dissolved in the hemolyzed sample as described above at a concentration of 8 mmol/L or more. |
