Two-terminal nonlinear device, its manufacturing method and liquid crystal display panel |
abstract |
An MIM nonlinear device whose nonlinearity coefficient representing the steepness of voltage-current characteristics is large, a liquid crystal display panel in which the MIM nonlinear device is employed and which has a high picture quality and a method of manufacturing the MIM nonlinear device. The MIM nonlinear device includes a 1st conductive film 22, an insulating film 24 and a 2nd conductive film 26 which are built up on a substrate 30. In the thermal desorption spectrum of the insulating film, the peak of the spectrum attributed to moisture in the insulating film is within the range of 225 - 300°C. It is desirable that the number of molecules which is calculated from the area of the peak is not less than 5 x 1014/cm2. |
