abstract The present invention relates to a feed additive composition for animals which comprises a polyethoxylated ascorbic acid derivative of formula (I) as an effective ingredient. When the feed additives are mixed in feed for livestock or fish, level of ascorbic acid in blood is not only homogeneously maintained, but also high in tissues. Therefore, useful effects such as reduction of mortality by heat stress and reduction of broken and soft egg production may be obtained in poultry.
