The invention relates to a method and device for producing tissue in a growth chamber for grafting into or onto human or animal bodies. One particular advantage of the invention is that it produces structurally functional bones. According to the invention, biological cells are disposed on a growth frame and arranged together in a growth chamber. Structured and functional growth is obtained by targeted, chronically or locally differing effect of biologically active stimuli. Said stimuli can be mechanical, electrical, magnetical, chemical, olfactive, acoustic and/or optical. According to the invention, the application of stimuli which correspond to those which are normally applied to the natural tissue in the body, is the most suitable. |
