abstract High performance bituminous mixtures that are useful for the road paving and roofing industries comprise mineral aggregates coated with a thermoplastic polymer composition. Because of their high performance properties, the absence of any aggressive and toxic adhesion promoters and the possibility of using recovered or recycled thermoplastic polymers to form the coating or “membrane,” the bituminous mixtures described herein provide an excellent environmentally friendly solution for pavement construction and roofing industries.
