abstract This invention provides compounds having the structure: n n n n n n n n n n wherein R 1 is methyl and R 2 is H, or R 1 is ethyl and R 2 is hydroxymethyl; n R 3 is H or propargyl; and n R 4 is either H or t-butyloxycarbonyl;n nor an enantiomer or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. This invention further provides the use of a therapeutically effective amount of such compounds to treat a subject afflicted with a psychiatric disorder, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or a neurological disorder.
