Hydrophilic biomedical composition |
abstract |
A hydrophilic ethylenically unsaturated macromonomer is disclosed that is prepared by the addition polymerization of addition polymerizable monomers that include monomers that have hydroxyl or amino functional groups, some of which may be subsequently reacted to provide (meth)acryl ethylenic unsaturation. The macromonomers may be used to form intraocular lenses in situ by polymerization of the macromonomers. |
