PCT No. PCT/EP96/00246 Sec. 371 Date Jul. 30, 1997 Sec. 102(e) Date Jul. 30, 1997 PCT Filed Jan. 22, 1996 PCT Pub. No. WO96/24075 PCT Pub. Date Aug. 8, 1996The invention relates to a novel process for the production of mouldings, in particular contact lenses, in which a water-soluble, crosslinkable polymer is crosslinked in solution, and to mouldings, in particular contact lenses, obtainable by this process. The present invention likewise relates to novel water-soluble, crosslinkable polymers, in particular those comprising units of formula (III or IIIa), in which R1 and R2, independently of one another, are hydrogen, a C1-C8alkyl group, an aryl group or a cyclohexyl group, where these groups can be monosubstituted or polysubstituted, R3 is hydrogen or a C1-C4 alkyl group, and R4 is an -OH- or -NH- bridge; and to crosslinked polymers made from these novel water-soluble, crosslinkable polymers, to a process for the preparation of the novel water-soluble, crosslinkable polymers and the homopolymers and copolymers obtainable therefrom, to mouldings made from said homopolymers or copolymers, in particular contact lenses made from these homopolymers or copolymers, and to a process for the production of contact lenses using said homopolymers or copolymers. <IMAGE> (III) <IMAGE> (IIIa) |
