abstract The present invention is drawn to a method of modifying a polymer material to improve the bonding, wetting and printing properties of the polymer material, comprising exposing said polymer to an ignited plasma under a vacuum. The present invention is further drawn to such a method wherein the plasma comprises methane and a second gas selected from air, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, nitrogen, oxygen or a mixture thereof.
