abstract A liquid crystal display device includes a pair of substrates opposed to each other, polymeric walls patterned in a predetermined pattern, and a liquid crystal layer at least a part of which is surrounded by the polymeric wall, and the polymeric wall and the liquid crystal layer are interposed between the substrates, wherein the polymeric wall has a predetermined rotatory polarization corresponding to an alignment regulating force of the substrates.
