abstract |
A silver halide photographic material which comprises a compound represented by the following general formulae (Ia) or (Ib): R1-L1-R2-L2-R3-NHNH-G1-R4 (Ia) R6-L3-R2-NHNH-G1-R4 (Ib) wherein the terms are as defined in the specification. The photographic material is capable of producing ultrahigh contrast images and is useful in photomechanical processes. An advantage of the material in comparison to prior materials is that can be developed using a developer having a lower pH value. |
