abstract | N-(3,4-Dihydro-2,2-dioxo-1,2-benzoxathiin-8-ylsulfonyl)-N'-pyrimidinyl ureas, N-(3,4-dihydro-2,2-dioxo-1,2-benzoxathiin-8-yl-sulfonyl)-N'-triazolylu reas and N-(3,4-dihydro-2,2-dioxo-1,2-benzoxathiin-8-ylsulfonyl)-N'-triazinylureas of the formula <IMAGE> (I) wherein R1 is hydrogen, halogen, nitro, C1-C4alkyl, C1-C4haloalkyl, C1-C4-alkoxy, C1-C4haloalkoxy, C1-C4alkoxycarbonyl, C1-C4alkylthio, C1-C4alkylsulfinyl, C1-C4alkylsulfonyl or C2-C5alkoxyalkoxy, R2 and R3 are each independently of the other hydrogen or C1-C4-alkyl, R4 is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl, W is oxygen or sulfur, and A is a radical <IMAGE> <IMAGE> <IMAGE> <IMAGE> +TR <IMAGE> in which formulae the substituents E1, E2, X1, X2, X3, X4, X5, X6, X7, X8, Y1, Y2, Y3, Y4, Y6, Y61, Y8, Y81, Z3 and Z5 are customary organic radicals, and the salts thereof with amines, alkali metal bases or alkaline earth metal bases or with quaternary ammonium bases have good pre- and postemergence selective herbicidal and growth regulating properties. |
