abstract The invention relates to a structurally viscous thickener which contains a copolymer of acrylic acid and acrylamide, a polyacrylic acid and optionally a solvent, emulsifiers, a neutralizing agent and a deaerator as additional components. The thickener may be in the form of a water-in-oil emulsion and is particularly suitable for use in printing pastes for dyeing and printing fibre material, especially textile fabrics.
