abstract |
A group of heat curable resins are provided which have good physical properties, which properties are retained to a surprising degree after prolonged exposure to temperatures as high as 300 DEG C. The products are acetylene end-capped esterimides having the structure: <IMAGE> (1) <IMAGE> where R is an arylene group or a group having the structure: <IMAGE> where X is <IMAGE> R1 is an alkyl group containing 1 or 2 carbon atoms and R2 is hydrogen or an alkyl group containing 1 or 2 carbon atoms; and where R' is a phenylene group. |
