abstract The antitumor efficacy of the known antibiotics daunomycin (daunorubicin) and adriamycin (doxorubicin) is synergized by the use of said antibiotics together with a daunosamine nucleoside. The latter compounds are prepared by condensing a reactive protected daunosamine with a reactive protected heterocyclic base.
